Founder and Former Soloist
Koichi Kamino, a highly accomplished ballet dancer and instructor, has built a distinguished career spanning over a decade in the arts and culture industry. Originally from Japan, Koichi’s journey in dance began with rigorous training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim, where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Ballet Performance. During his time as a student, he was selected to perform soloist roles, showcasing his early potential on prestigious stages.
CAREER
Koichi’s professional career took flight in 2014 as an apprentice at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where he performed demi-soloist roles in iconic productions like The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. This was followed by a year as a soloist with Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin, where he excelled in works such as The Taming of the Shrew and Mozart!maybe?. In 2016, Koichi broadened his horizons as a guest soloist at the Finnish National Opera House, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and expressive performer.

From 2017 to 2020, Koichi served as a demi-soloist at Theatre Wielki Poznan in Poland. His standout performances included Swan Lake as Benno, Cinderella as the Ballet Master, and Romeo and Juliet. His artistry was also highlighted in gala events, such as performing the Don Quixote Divertissement as the First Soloist at Nina Ananiashvili’s Gala.
 Since 2021, Koichi has brought his expertise to Singapore as a Senior Ballet Instructor and Choreographer. At M.A Ballet, he has mentored students to achieve remarkable accolades, including finalist and gold medal placements in the International Ballet Grand Prix Singapore. Additionally, Koichi has served as a part-time instructor at LASALLE College of the Arts, contributing to the next generation of dancers with his passion and pedagogical skills.
