He is able to identify your weaknesses and provides constructive and real feedback to help you improve your technique, posture and musicality. In addition, he is very caring, enthusiastic, hardworking and genuine, and even provides modifications and adjustments for me seeing that I'm still dancing in my 2nd - 3rd trimester! Thank you Mr Koichi! Yh Xu2025-04-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been training with Mr. Koichi since 2021, and he’s the instructor who helped me finally understand the artistry and musicality of ballet. His eye for detail, especially when working with adult students, has helped me build muscle memory and improve my body line in ways I never thought possible. The studio offers variation classes, pas de deux, and men’s technique, which makes the training feel complete and well-rounded. His combinations are beautifully choreographed and thoughtfully planned; he changes them every few weeks, which keeps classes fresh, challenging, and inspiring. Thank you so much Mr Koichi! Dhiviya2025-04-20Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mr Koichi is my first ever ballet teacher when I first started ballet as an adult. Mr Koichi is kind, patient and extremely dedicated, hardworking and passionate about teaching his students. He takes care and effort to know each and every of his student’s flaws and attributes and meticulously encourages and teaches them to improve. Each and every lesson is well planned with a specific purpose and objective in a welcoming, creative and encouraging environment. You will leave each lesson feeling like you have learnt something good, improved and feel motivated for the next class. It is all thanks to Mr Koichi’s dedication to his professionalism, teaching his students and kindness and patience. J C2025-04-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The dance floor is simply amazing! It's not too hard so that you end up injuring your ankles and knees over prolonged use. At the same time, it's not too soft such that you actually sink too deep into the floor when you land from your jumps. The floor is springy enough such that you can build sufficient power in your plie for high jumps. You get a great view out of the dance studio due to the window wall which lets in sufficient sunlight to brighten the studio for photo shoots and checking your lines. Mr Kochi is a fantastic instructor. You will really improve your ballet technique and artistry under his guidance and overall be a much stronger dancer. There are different level classes which cater from beginner to intermediate students and comprehensively cover both breadth and depth of the fine art of Ballet. Intermediate students can take the beginner class to strengthen their foundation while beginner students looking to raise their level can opt for the intermediate classes. What is even more amazing is the Saturday Pas De Deux and Men's technique class for adults which is something I can't seem to find anywhere else in Singapore. 10/10 Highly recommended dance studio. kek yan lin2025-03-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mr Koichi is an experienced ballet teacher who gives valuable corrections to improve my techniques and artistry, the exercises taught are very useful for conditioning and strengthening the correct muscles groups. He is very passionate in teaching and sharp to spot mistakes. Mr Koichi is one of the best ballet teachers I have come across and I have made so much improvements in areas I did not dare to try. Every lesson he goes above and beyond to teach. Highly recommend for all serious learners who want to improve from each class attended. Thank you for always willing to share all your ballet knowledge, Mr Koichi! Adult Student Rebekah Yeo2025-03-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would recommend Kamino Dance Arts as a place for adult ballet students who: 1. Desire to learn ballet in a progressive way, with lessons structured with specific learning objectives, reinforced from one week to the next. 2. Value detailed instruction in ballet technique (without watering down the beauty and precision of the art form for adults/ late starters) 3. Wish to develop a deeper understanding and learn how to dance with artistry, beyond classroom work. I have been a student of Mr Koichi, founder of the school, for over a year. He has a knack for identifying the key elements which once ‘fixed’ will translate to a growth spurt in one’s dancing. Learning from him has been a very fulfilling and encouraging process as I see his passion for teaching in the care he puts into preparing his lessons and his heart to nurture each student, meeting them where they are at various points of their dance journey - beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Knowing that age does not limit what I can do, with a teacher who believes in my potential to develop, warms my heart and I would wish for other passionate adult ballet dancers to experience the same.
